Within the framework of public medicine, Dr. Bermant is the center for sports injuries and arthroscopy of the ankle and foot in the sports and foot unit in the orthopedics system of the Wolfson Medical Center and serves as a foot and ankle consultant at Maccabi Health Services and the IDF.
Dr. Bermant manages a multidisciplinary system that provides a comprehensive response to patients in everything related to diagnosis and treatment in the field of foot and ankle.
Dr. Bermant completed his studies for the degree of Doctor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at one of the leading universities in the Soviet Union in Rostov-on-Don (former University of Warsaw). Upon graduation, he completed a residency in pediatric surgery and orthopedics.
Immediately after immigrating to Israel, Dr. Bermant joined programs for the admission of young doctors in Israel, and as part of the program, he completed an internship at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center and became a resident in general surgery at the Sheba Medical Center. During his residency in general surgery, Dr. Bermant was exposed to the field of orthopedics. Since then, surgical orthopedics has become Dr. Bermant's professional vocation.
From 2009, after completing his residency in general orthopedics, Dr. Bermant focused on the field of foot and ankle. As part of his professionalization in the field of foot and ankle, Dr. Bermant has completed many theoretical and practical training programs in Israel and abroad, he is regularly and actively updated at the forefront of global medicine and incorporates in his work the most effective diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for the patient's individual needs.
As of today, Dr. Bermant is an active partner in training young specialists in the field of foot and ankle at the Wolfson Medical Center. Initiates, directs and leads research in the field of foot and ankle and participates in international conferences both as a guest and as a lecturer.
In his daily work for nearly 10 years now, Dr. Bermant has been performing many ankle and foot surgeries and helping patients with diagnoses of various levels of complexity, including extremely complex situations.
Dr. Bermant is well known among his colleagues and is lookinga member of professional associations in Israel and abroad, including the Israeli Orthopedic Association, the Israeli Foot and Ankle Surgery Association and the European Union, the European Union Endoscopic Surgery Association.
